COLLEGE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Entrance Requirements for Public 4-Year Universities in Washington State

4 English Credits

3 Math Credits

3 Science Credits

3 Social Studies Credits

1 Fine Arts Credit

2 World Language Credits (In the same Language)

Additional Notes:

Students must take a Math-Based Quantitative Course their senior year. Examples include: An advanced math course offered through the Math Department of Algebra II or Higher, Chemistry, or Physics.

Fine Arts requirement may be met by taking an additional credit in one of the other CADR subject listed above. The UW and WWU specify that one-half credit of this requirement must be in the fine, visual, or performing arts; the other half may be either in the arts or in an academic elective.

Community/ Technical College, Apprenticeship, & Military

Students need to meet the HS graduation requirements. Some programs may require extra emphasis in particular areas of study.
