GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To earn a high school diploma, a student must complete these 3 components:
1. Complete a High School & Beyond Plan
This is a formal process designed to help students think about their future goals and how to achieve those goals. Students start developing their High School & Beyond Plan in the 8th grade and update it annually to accommodate changing interests or goals.
2. Complete 24 Career & College Ready Graduation Credits as follows:
3 Personalized Pathway Credits
3 Credits that lead to a specific post-secondary career or educational goal chosen by the student as part of their High School & Beyond Plan
Options Include:
• 2 World Language
• 1 Additional Art
• Career & Technical Education
Or any combination of classes that relate to a student’s specific goal.
4 Elective Credits
4 additional credits in any area of study. The intent is to allow students to explore opportunities
Options Include:
· Additional Language
· Additional Art
· CTE Courses
· Additional Math or Science
· Psychology
· Additional PE
· And Much More
3. Meet one of the following Graduation Pathway requirements:
Demonstrate College & Career Readiness in ELA and Math
Smarter Balanced (SBA) test in ELA and Math
The first pathway is to meet graduation cut scores on state tests. All students take the tests in 10th grade.

Demonstrate Career Readiness with a CTE Course Sequence
Students can meet this pathway requirement with a designated CTE Course Sequence following their High School & Beyond Plan.
To complete a CTE Sequence of Courses to meet the Graduation Pathway Requirement, students must earn 2 credits in a single CTE program that aligns to their High School & Beyond Plan.
Demonstrate Armed Services Readiness with ASVAB Test Scores
Students choosing this pathway must meet the minimum score on the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT), which is a component of the ASVAB.
