Rotation Supplement

Our students and supervisors have recognized a need for more guidance on creating inclusive environments in our rotations. This document, Rotation Supplement, organizes and summarizes many information about diversity, equity and inclusion for healthcare trainees from many different sources. We’ve attempted to adapt this information more specifically to genetic counseling. Topics include micro-inclusions, microaggressions, and patient bias. This document is meant to facilitate discussion and provoke thought, and to help supervisors/trainees work through areas of potential conflict. It is by no means perfect or comprehensive, and is meant to change with time. As it is an evolving document, we’d love to hear your feedback on how it can be improved. See video for more information.
