The Zoom meeting ID for this meeting is AAABBBCCC and the password is DEFGHIJ. You can join from PC, Mac, ChromeOS, Linux, iOS or Android: https://stanford.zoom.us/j/AAABBBCCC.
We will use the Zoom (zoom.us) service for these interviews, and you will need to access the service from a device on a network that allows you to send VIDEO of yourself, not just audio. This interview will be conducted entirely in English and will be an important part of the placement process. Please have on hand your Stanford University Identification Number (SUID) and SUNet (the first part of your Stanford email address) before you begin your interview. This interview will be video recorded by Zoom, but only the interviewer and the EFS Program Coordinator will have access to the recording.
Please note that if you are using a laptop or desktop computer, you can access Zoom through the browser. There is no need to install the Zoom App. Please be sure to test Zoom before the meeting, following the instructions for a Meeting Test: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115002262083-How-Do-I-Test-Prior-to-Joining-a-Meeting-. You may use an iOS or Android tablet or smartphone, or a PC, Mac, Linux or ChromeOS laptop or desktop computer with a webcam. Please go to the Zoom connection a few minutes BEFORE your meeting. If there is another meeting before yours, you will be placed in a waiting room and the interviewer will let you in as the interview space becomes available. Find a quiet place where you are comfortable doing this interview, and make sure you have a good wired or wireless connection. Please make sure your camera and microphone are turned on BEFORE the meeting starts.
You may change the interview any time up to 24 hours before the time you scheduled. More information can be found on the Language Center's EFS Placement Testing page: https://language.stanford.edu/programs/efs/languages/english-foreign-students/english-placement-test.
