The schematics for the ØILUS were created in KiCad. Each subsystem is powered by a PIC32 microcontroller for logic and timing, and an XBee radio for communication facilitation. The ØILUS features key operations including a propulsion motor, rudder servo, splashing pump motor, and pairing indicator servo. Both the propulsion motor and the pump motor are powered by 12V DC motors. The propulsion motor, which draws 6 amps at 4000 RPM, is controlled by a high-current BTS7960 43A Dual H-Bridge motor driver. The splashing pump motor, which draws fewer amps, is managed by a traditional L298N half-bridge motor driver. The servos used for side indication and rudder control are 25KG High Torque RC Servo, Miuzei Waterproof Servo Motors, operated with a 5V supply and a PWM signal from the PIC32.
