Per the entry requirements of the local government, you will need to travel with a passport that has at least one completely blank visa page for the main program and additional space for the extension to Yap. It must be valid for at least 6 months past the date that you will arrive back in the U.S. You will need to provide a clear color scan of the picture page of your passport by uploading it to the Personal Information Form. Please do not send a copy of your passport by email.
We recommend you check the expiration date of your passport as soon as you register for your trip to make sure you have adequate time for processing in case you need to renew.
Visit the U.S. State Department for details about the passport application and renewal process and current processing times.
