What is Ukulele Club?
Ukulele Club is offered as a 3 week course during the fall semester (September) of the school year designed to introduce the basics of ukulele playing including tuning, strumming, individual strings, and simple chords.
Who can be in Ukulele Club?
Ukulele Club is offered to 4th/5th graders. Prior instrumental experience or Music reading is NOT required.
When/Where is Ukulele Club offered?
Ukulele Club will be a 3 week course offered on Mondays from 3:00-4:00 pm, on September 8, September 15 and September 22. Ukulele Club has a limit of 15 students per session. Click session date for form to sign up!

How do I sign up?
. Sign-up opportunities will be sent out via an email and you may submit google form on this website.
For more detailed questions, please contact Mrs. Shepard, Music Teacher. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!....Once the email blast has been sent out, you must apply online to join via the Google Form that is listed above. Form submission time will be noted and students placed in order of forms received. Google Forms Due by August 26. Commitment Forms will be sent home to those who complete the Google Form.
THERE IS A LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER UKULELE CLUB SESSION and only the first 15 students who have filled out the form (time/date stamped) will be accepted into the each session of the Ukulele Club 3 week rotation. The remaining number of students will be put on a waiting list if an opening occurs. There will be one 3 week session of Ukulele Club, all taking place within the first quarter of the 2025-26 school year. We will be using school-owned ukuleles (though a student may bring their own as well) and each young musician will receive a songbook of ukulele music, either printed or online in canvas. There is a fee of $15 to join. The fee will cover maintenance on the ukulele and cost of music. We will use school- owned ukuleles that will remain at school. Fees will be paid through RevTrak online.
Students interested in Ukulele Club should :
Have a history of working creatively.
Take instrumental studies seriously.
Enjoy playing/learning stringed instruments with others.
Have good music practice habits and behaviors.
Be a student in good standing in all subjects.
Students should meet all music class expectations regarding behavior and care of instruments.
