We begin our recorder unit in the second semester.   Recorder studies will be a part of our curriculum for both 4th and 5th grade music students.

Recorders were included in the wrap packs through EPI this year.  If you did not purchase a wrap pack, you will need to purchase a recorder at Music and Arts.   We use the Peripole, Lyons, or Yamaha brand Soprano Baroque Recorders.  Due to cleanliness and keeping with safe guidelines, EACH student will be responsible for the purchase of their own recorder. The school will not be able to issue a recorder to students.   No sharing of recorders will be allowed.  The cost of a recorder and book  is $12.00 at Music and Arts.  Students who already have a recorder (from a previous year that meets  the specifications) do not need to purchase a recorder unless they have lost or broken theirs.  New students and 4th grade students will need to purchase recorders and books.  Students may wish to purchase a second recorder to practice at home.  Recorders remain at school for this unit.
