Hello Timberwolves!
About Your Teacher:
My name is Kristen Shepard and I am so excited to be your child’s Music teacher! This year begins my 18th year of teaching, and 7th with LISD. I’m just as excited now as I was when I first started my career in education.
The University of Oklahoma is my alma mater, and I’m a big Sooner fan. Some of my favorite things are spending time with my family, traveling, and singing with the Dallas Symphony Chorus.

FMLM (Festival of Music Listening Masters Club) - Grades 2-5 only

I have created an Amazon Wishlist for those of you who wish to donate to our classroom needs/wishes. Please click Shepard Amazon Wish List to donate!
Donations are greatly appreciated as we are often in need of different supplies throughout the year. There are some books listed that would benefit our music classes as well. The books listed provide valuable stories and information which address music concepts and composers. There are other items, such as puppets which will help provide for fun learning experiences and enrich games and songs.
Your support is AWESOME and APPRECIATED!!
Parents - If you play piano and have experience accompanying groups or play other instruments please let me know. There may be a volunteer opportunity for you!
Please remember to check canvas courses daily. I publish a newsletter on the Hicks Elementary website on a weekly basis under enrichment, music. The newsletter is also in each canvas grade level course.

Kindergarten - Week of 1- 25 to 1-28 - Monday - Thursday
Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade will perform at the Veterans Day Program on Nov. 11 at 9 am, along with the Timberwolf Treble Choir!
