How To Become A Student Athletic Trainer
Student athletic trainers are Marcus High School students who have been selected by the Marcus Athletic Training Staff.
To be selected into the program, students must complete Sports Medicine I in the fall and then be invited in to the Intro Student Atheltic Trainer class - Sports Medicine II in the spring. Attitude, behavior, and performance in Sports Medicine I will influence the selection process.
What Do Student Athletic Trainers Do?
Student athletic trainers work with the Marcus athletic teams, assisting with first aid, injury treatment, and injury rehabilitation during practices and games fall, winter, and spring. Student athletic trainers are not managers. Being a student athletic trainer involves a time commitment and typically conflicts with most other athletic and extracurricular programs.
