Mr. Fee's Schedule
Each school year, the teaching schedule is subject to change, as well as which class periods the courses are offered.
This school year Mr. Fee's schedule has all debate classes in the fall and all public speaking classes in the spring.
*1st and 2nd Period: Fall is Debate 1; Spring is Public Speaking 1.
*3rd Period is Mr. Fee's conference period with hall duty on the 2nd floor.
*4th Period: Fall is Debate 2/3 and Oral Intep; Spring is Public Speaking 2/3.

Debate 1
Debate 1 is an introduction to various forms of public speaking and debate. This year the course is focused on: how to give a speech, congress, mock trial, debate terminology, LD debate, team debate, and a "choice project" with several options available.

Debate 2 and Debate 3
Debate 2 and 3 are classes for students who are part of the competition team so they can continue building their skills from Debate 1 and prepare for tournaments.

Oral Interpretation
Oral Interp is a class for students who want to focus on the acting/interp events available at speech and debate competitions, including: prose interp, poetry interp, humorous, dramatic, duo/duet acting, and being witnesses for mock trial.

Public Speaking 1
Public Speaking 1 is an introduction to various forms of public address and debate. The course is usually similar to debate 1, but with more of an emphasis on informative and persuasive speaking.

Public Speaking 2 and Public Speaking 3
Public Speaking 2 and 3 are classes for students who are part of the competition team so they can continue building their skills from Public Speaking 1 and prepare for tournaments.

Class versus Club versus Competition Team
*Students in Debate 1 and/or Public Speaking 1 are not required to compete; thus it is possible to take the class without competing.
*Students in Debate 2, Debate 3, Oral Interp, Public Speaking 2, and Public Speaking 3 are required to compete.
*Students may join the club and hang out with the team without competing, but they must not be a distraction to the students who are preparing for competition.
*Competition students are conisdered "novice" during their first year of competition. After that, they are no longer "novice" for the purpose of competition, even if they compete in new events.
