Rising 9th Football - A Message from Coach Alexander, Head Football Coach at Marcus High School:

Dear Marcus Marauder Rising Freshmen Football Families,

We are excited to welcome you and your athlete to the Marcus Marauder Football program! Our coaching staff is truly looking forward to the opportunity to work with your sons as they begin their high school football journey. It is both a privilege and a responsibility that we take seriously, and we cannot wait to get started.

As your athletes prepare to enter their freshman year, we are eager to help them grow not only as football players, but also as students, teammates, and young men. Our program is built on having a resilient attitude, competitive spirit, mental and physical toughness, family (others before self) as well as self-discipline. We refer to these core values as our Marcus DNA, and we are excited to begin building those core values with this incoming class.

To help you and your athlete learn more about what to expect, we would like to invite you to an informational meeting on:

Location: M9 Cafeteria

During this meeting, we will cover several important topics, including:

Expectations for our freshman football players

Summer skills training and strength & conditioning opportunities

Our summer calendar and important dates

Ways for families to get involved and become part of our Football Family

This meeting is an important first step in preparing for the upcoming season, and we strongly encourage both parents and athletes to attend.
