CHEERIO MISS DANG, IT'S BEEN A PLEASURE
We are sad to say that the fabulous Michelle Dang leaves us this week to take up a position at Archdeacon Cambridge's CE Primary School in Twickenham. Miss Dang joined us to cover Mrs Grosvenor's maternity leave and has loved her time in Year Three. It's been an absolute pleasure Miss Dang and we wish you lots of luck.
PRESENTING OUR MENTORS
We have mentoring as part of our St Stephen's Wellbeing Service. This is carried out by Maggie Libura and Danny Cain. Maggie has been part of our team for twelve years, first as an LSA, then as a mentor, following the completion of her counselling qualification. Our sports coach, Danny is also part of our mentoring team and together they provide some safe, one-to-one time for our children, as required. We are so lucky to have this opportunity to give our children a little guidance and support should they need it.
LOST PROPERTY
Could any of this belong to you? We have hundreds of pounds worth of lost property in our school entrance area. Sweatshirts, coats, PE kits, water bottles and lots more. If you are missing any items of kit, we will display the lot in the playground on Wednesday 24th. We would love to return some of these expensive items to their rightful owners. Thank you so much.
ALL THE WRITE MOVES
Our daily handwriting drill is working wonders in Year One. Here we give you Pankhurst class doing a spot of cursive writing. The results are wonderful and it is having such a positive affect on the presentation and fluency of the children's written work.
AROUND THE UK WITH THUNBERG
We were very excited to receive these photographs from Miss Downes and Thunberg class. Our Year Three children created posters of the UK during their Christmas holidays, as part of their current Geography topic. Miss Downes was so impressed. She stopped by the newsroom to give us her view: "The creativity was out of this world! I have also learnt so much, including the longest name in Wales is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, as well as the capital cities of each of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom. Thank you Thunberg, your homework was absolutely wonderful and I am so impressed by the effort you have all put in during your holidays."
