Dear Parents/carers,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the continued support you so kindly give me on a daily basis. In the recent celebration of my twenty years at St Stephen's, I was particularly grateful for your generosity and kind words - you certainly built me up in love! I was genuinely touched and again you made me reflect on how lucky and privileged I am to be part of this wonderful community.
Thank you.
Our end of school year reports will go out on Monday afternoon 15th July.
This year parents and carers will receive the report by email to their main email address registered with us. The email will appear in your inbox from 'St Stephen's C E Primary School' <system@insighttracking.com> and will be titled '2023/24 End of Year School Report'.
You will receive separate emails for each child in school. Once you open the email, the child's name will be displayed as well as a link to 'Download report', click on the link and then enter your child's date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) for verification.
When you have entered the date correctly and clicked 'download report' the report will automatically open.
If you have any questions about your child's end of year report, you are invited to discuss these with your child's class teacher at our open afternoon on Tuesday 16th July.
Our breakfast and after-school club bookings will open on Tuesday 16th July, following feedback from this week's club bookings, we have moved the bookings opening time from 6pm to 7pm.
You will be able to book a full term or half a term of preferred sessions, as previously communicated; full term bookings are non-refundable. The full and half term bookings will be available at the same time on Tuesday evening.
On ParentPay, the 'breakfast club' and 'after school club' sessions will now be titled 'breakfast club - FULL TERM' or 'breakfast club - HALF TERM' etc. please select the relevant bookings for you.
Thank you
As a primary school, we always feel so incredibly blessed to have a school orchestra. Under the leadership of renowned local music teacher, Tim Wilford, our fabulous orchestra has treated us to many fine performances over the years. It is an absolute joy to hear the orchestra accompany our children singing at our special assemblies at St Stephen's Church and long may it continue!
If your child receives musical instrument lessons with Richmond Music Trust or another provider and would like to be considered for the Orchestra club, which meets for weekly practice with maestro Tim, please email the school office at info@st-stephens.richmond.sch.uk
There is a weekly fee for Orchestra Club – please see our club schedule here for more information.

As I’m sure you are aware, school budgets are very tight at the moment. Currently, we budget £9,000 per year on stationery. Therefore, one way you could support the school is through providing your child with the necessary stationery they require to complete their learning tasks. We ask that all children in Year 2 upwards bring to school a pencil case including the items listed below. Please prepare or replenish your child’s pencil case over the summer holidays and bring them in on the first day of term in September.
1. Pencil case - plain and small
2. 3 x HB pencils
3. Pencil sharpener
4. Rubber
5. 30cm ruler
6. Small set of colouring pencils
7. Protractor (Year 5 and 6)
8. 3 x Blue handwriting pens
9. 3 x Dry wipe black whiteboard pens
10. Glue stick
· It would really support us if these items are labelled if possible.
· There is no need for expensive or overly fancy items (ie. not from Smiggle). Please do not buy glittery/smelly pens or pencils with toppers as these can be very distracting in lessons and don’t support children to produce neat handwriting.
· All stationery (apart from the ruler) should fit inside the pencil case and the pencil case should be small enough to fit inside children’s trays.
· From our experience, not all stationery is created equally so we have suggested some brands in the links that are better quality and will last for longer. We suggest buying packs so that you can restock your child’s pencil case when items run out. We get through a lot!
We understand that this will not be possible for all families and we will ensure we have stationery for those that need it. If you would like to donate towards additional stationery, please contribute to the stationery pot on Parent Pay.
If your child is in Reception or Year 1, we ask that you donate packs of whiteboard pens and glue sticks and/or donate to the stationery pot on Parent Pay.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
