Year 1 has been gaining independence in their writing, trying really hard to write full sentences using their knowledge of the phonics sounds. The teachers are so proud of their commitment to their writing and their approach to writing remembering what they learnt in the Growth Mindset unit - Never give up! I can do it! This attitude has helped them to succeed.

For Black History month Year 2 have been studying the artist Rudi Patterson. We have tried to recreate his work by sketching trees and painting them in bright colours. We have also been learning how to mix colours to create different shades and tones.
