Year 3
Mission Week - The children felt privileged to spend time with the Blessed Sacrament, joining in the procession from the Chapel to the small hall, and also taking an active role in deciding how they would like to spend their time with Jesus. Some children chose to take time in quiet reflection with prayer candles, and others chose to draw.
Chess - The children have been honing their skills in taking turns, respect and understanding the perspectives of others during their chess lessons. As well as using physical pieces, the children have also been using lichess.com to further their game.
Dance - In dance the children have been working hard to put together moves to Photronique - We are on Top.
Science - The children have been busy investigating what plants need to survive. Setting up experiments to look into the impact of restricting sunlight, water, space and nutrients on broad beans. What would happen to cress if we placed it in the cupboard? They have enjoyed getting hands on and observing the different parts of the plant, and also setting up an enquiry to understand how water is transported up the stem of plants.
Year 4
Mission Week - For mission week we visited the blessed sacrament. We planned our own prayer time with Jesus and we could come up and lead a section of prayer time. We left the hall feeling full of Jesus’ love in our hearts.
Religion - This term we have been learning about faith and love. To live out the virtues of faith, hope and love we did trust falls in class.
Hello Yellow Day - World Mental Health Day - For Yellow Day we discussed ways we can look after our mental health and discussed things that made us happy. We spoke about the stigma that sometimes is attached when speaking about mental health and how it is important to continue to speak about it. We ended our discussion with a fun feel good dance.
