Cookery
The children had a chance to put their learning and research of Indian cuisine, herbs and spices into use by cooking up a delicious Asian inspired curry with rice.
PE
As part of National PE and Sports Week the children have enjoyed starting their day with a whole school workout on the playground and taking part in obstacle courses.
English
The children have been busy studying a poem by Benjamin Zephaniah, learning about the dub style and had the opportunity to perform it in front of school in assembly.
Religion
Father Tony has been visiting each Friday to help us practise for Holy Communion. We have also been doing a bit of role play to help us understand the commissioning of the disciples.
Science
As part of our light and shadows topics the children have been drawing each other's silhouettes and exploring making different animal shadows with light sources.
A.I.M High Writing Day
Some of the year 3 and 4 children took part in an AIM High Writing Day with the poet, Neal Zetter. They wrote about all sorts of crazy poems about colours, food and the world around us. Neal was very impressed with the children and their creativity. Our future poets everyone!
Year 4
