KS1

Year 1 had a great time visiting St Joachim’s for our belonging day. The children were able to enjoy a range of activities including making a fruit salad, a music lesson with xylophones, an art lesson where we were able to collage and we shared a story in their beautiful library.

In Music, Year 1 have been learning about rhythm.  The children enjoyed collectively controlling a large scrunchy. 

It allowed them to recognise and play along to tempo. 

Great Fire of London Workshop - as part of our history unit, we had a workshop to help us understand the events of this historic event. We went to Pudding Lane and had a tour and also enjoy the creative part of the workshop. 

We have enjoyed having some Chess lessons this term, and beginning to learn the game rules and strategies, before we get into Key Stage 2.
