Preschool
During the Citizenship Weeks, we learnt about People who help us. This has helped us to make connections between ourselves and the outside world.
We are more aware of the different jobs and roles people do at home, in school and in our neighborhood. We also know that not everyone who helps drives a fast vehicle with a siren, locks bad people up or wears a uniform.
We are all absolute Superstars in Preschool. Our Teachers are so proud of us all everyday and tell us this constantly. Some of us have gone ‘above and beyond’ and got a certificate. We are so proud of ourselves.
Nursery
This term Nursery has been focussing on shapes and numbers in the environment. Children had the opportunity to go on a number and shape hunt in our local community. They used cameras and phones to take pictures of what they found. We also practised walking safely on the street, by looking and listening for any cars.
Reception
During Citizenship Week, the Reception children have been learning about their right to play. We also learnt how to play responsibly and practiced these skills on our visit to the local park. The children knew they had to look after the play area, stay near an adult in order to stay safe, and play kindly with their friends and of course have loads of fun!
The children came up with their own responsible rules before the visit and stuck to them. We are very proud of them!
