This 220-hour introductory course is designed to provide students with essential entry-level skills and industry-recognized certifications for a successful career in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Throughout the course, participants engage in hands-on training and earn certifications such as the EPA 608 Universal License, an OSHA 10 card, and a Hot Works Certification. This experience ensures that students are job-ready upon graduation, and equipped with practical skills to excel in the field.
In addition to learning techniques like soldering, brazing, and working with copper tubing, students receive training on refrigeration systems. They learn about system components, operational principles, and troubleshooting methods. Giving them the confidence to assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing various refrigeration units. This curriculum also emphasizes electrical systems. We teach students how to read and interpret electrical drawings and wire simple circuits. Ultimately, the program prepares students to become valuable assets to any HVAC team. This gives them the ability to make an immediate impact in their lives and careers.
