MyView - SAVVAS

We use the reading series MyView from SAVVAS. Each week, we read a new story that focuses on our story skill. We answer questions in our book to help us practice the reading skill of the week. We will add notes to our Story Skills Notebook that students can use to study. 

Students are tested on Fridays. The test includes a Word Study page that focuses on the Spelling skill, a Vocabulary page that tests their knowledge of the vocabulary from the week, and a cold read passage. During the cold read sections, students read a passage to themselves and answer questions based off of the skill this week. All reading tests are scored out of 15 questions. 

Students should have access to their Google Classroom at home to access the story, cold reads, and skill practice. 

Logging on to Google Classroom

Students will add each subjects' Google Classroom while in school. Students can log into their Google account to access Google Classroom at home. Their Google account is their school email and the password they use to log onto their Chromebook.
