Hello!  This year is my 21st year teaching third grade. I have two sons.  Owen is 15 years old and is in tenth grade.  He loves to play soccer, fish, and make fishing lures!  Abram (Abe) is 12 years old and is in seventh grade.  Abe enjoys being with his friends, playing  ALL sports, fishing, and being outside.  I have been married for 17 years to my husband Mark.  Mark works at Mayo Clinic as a Radiology Systems Analyst.  We also have a golden retriever named Kirby.  

I grew up in Hayfield, MN with four brothers and one sister.  Things I enjoy doing besides being with my family are reading, walking/hiking, playing sports, and boating.  I also enjoy watching the MN United Loons (soccer), Vikings, and Timberwolves.

My teaching philosophy is to establish a respectful, safe and responsible community in our third grade neighborhood.  I hope to aspire lifelong learning for my students and to be thoughtful and caring citizens.  Each child deserves an education that best suits them for a pathway to success.  Of course, I always want everyone to HAVE FUN and BE YOU!
