Our Gospel Band operates in a unique way different to all of our other ensembles. The purpose of this ensemble is to regularly lead high school and whole school assemblies in corporate worship music. Its goal is to train up the members of this ensemble in maturity and with leadership skills to be able to serve the CRU lunch time meetings as well as their youth group and church services. The hope is that the work that is done in Gospel Band not only transforms the service of the members in the band to lead worship effectively in these contexts, but also to benefit the worship team members of those communities as well.

When selecting members of this ensemble, there are several factors that are taken into consideration. The first being 'Character over Competency'. The second being a mix of year levels. And the third being a good blend of voices and instruments to carry a strong and confident sound at assembly.

Rehearsals in 2025 are on Tuesdays in Break 2 in MR1 with Mr Harris.
