Hand On Activity Ideas - Counting Backwards

1. Rip and Scrunch - Cut or rip a piece of paper into squares. Write random numbers on each square of paper. Scrunch the paper into balls and throw them into a bowl. Pick one scrunched ball out of the bowl. Start counting backwards to 0 from that number.
2. Chalk Counting - Go outside and write numbers on the ground using chalk. stand back and throw a small stick or beanbag. Start counting backwards from that number.
3. Play hide-and-seek- with someone in your home counting down from 20 when it's your turn.
