DVHS Career Education

Career Technical Eduction (CTE) involves multiyear sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers in the 15 major industry sectors.

CTE courses are supported through various programs, grants, and teacher training's.

The Contra Costa County Office of Education supports CTE through the Regional Occupational Program (ROP), which provides innovative Career Technical Education to prepare students for challenging careers, post-secondary education, and lifelong learning.

ROP endorse student skills with a Certificate of Proficiency for each ROP course with the completion of a C or better and 95% classroom attendance. Enrollment is open to students 16 and above.
