Visual Art and Design Schools - StudentArtGuide.com
Each art school has different eligibility requirements, so it is important to check each individual institution for entrance requirements. In addition, check online for National Portfolio Day (http://www.portfolioday.net/portfolio-day-faqs). National Portfolio Day is an event specifically for visual artists and designers. It is an opportunity for those who wish to pursue an education in the visual and related arts to meet with representatives from colleges accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. Representatives will be available to review your artwork, discuss their programs and answer questions about professional careers in art. High school students and their parents are encouraged to attend. Start working on getting your portfolios and/or videos of your work to help you prepare for auditions or interviews.
