Auditions for Beauty and The Beast Jr. are open to everyone, and we’re excited to see all the talent that comes through! However, please note that we will need to limit the size of the overall cast due to production constraints. Therefore, auditioning students enrolled in Drama classes (Improv, Beginning Drama, Advanced Drama, Musical Production, Stagecraft), as long as they have the availability to participate and are open to all roles (including ensemble), will be guaranteed to be cast in the show. Everyone else may be cast as well, but can not be guaranteed a role. If you don’t make it in this year, please don’t be discouraged—keep working on your craft and we hope you’ll audition again in the future. Every audition is a valuable experience, and we’re proud of everyone who puts themselves out there! Be sure to visit the About the Show page for more details about roles available. Selecting the role/roles for each performer will depend on their availability for rehearsals, audition preparation and appropriateness for the roles in Beauty and The Beast Jr.

Students of all backgrounds, sizes, shapes, genders and grade levels will be equally considered for all roles. Stage presence, acting and singing ability are infinitely more important to a casting director than looking like the original interpretation of the part.
In order to give more students a chance at bigger parts, many roles are double cast (2 actors for each role). The casts are named differently, but are equal. Each cast will perform twice. Some students may perform the same or different roles in both casts.
