Students intending to register for a course for the Summer/Fall 2025 must complete the Dual Enrollment process to ensure they can register for the priority 6 registration time of May 7th at 7 am. Student attending are encouraged to start the dual enrollment process sooner than later. How do I take a class at the JC and be a dual enrollment student?
Interested in taking a class at the JC? Follow the steps below to enroll!
Step 1: Apply for admission for the semester you are interested
Complete the SRJC application as a dual enrollment high school student. You will receive a confirmation email afterwards that will contain your SRJC student ID number.

Step 2: Complete a dual enrollment form with your selected class
You will then fill out a dual enrollment form and list your chosen class on the form (e.g. ENGL 1A or KFIT 1.2). You can see the classes available in the Schedule of Classes. The form will automatically go to the parent/guardian (email listed on form) and Montgomery High School for signatures. You will receive an email from the SRJC once the course is approved.

Step 3: Register for your class on the day that Priority 6 registration opens
Your dual enrollment form must be completed and approved prior to registration.
You will register for the class using the Schedule of Classes. Select the term you are applying for and find your class from the alphabetical drop-down menu on the left. When you have chosen a class, click the shopping cart next to the class section number and follow the prompts. There will be a $23 health fee required.
How do I fill out a JC application?
High school dual enrollment students who attend Santa Rosa Junior College are considered new students each semester and must complete and application and dual enrollment form every semester. Please use the application link here. If you have never filled out an application, you will need to create a CCCApply account. See this video below for a walk-through on how to do so.

I want to take a math or English class at the JC- how do I figure out my placement?
Assessment for placement is one of the critical steps to help students start on a successful pathway in college.
Finding your placement is required before you are able to take a Math or English course at the JC. Find yours here.
What is the Doyle Scholarship and how do I qualify?
Seniors interested in the $1,200 Doyle Scholarship for the JC must have the following:
Unweighted High School GPA of 2.0* or greater
Must submit the FAFSA or CADAA application – regardless of financial need - use school code 001287
Enroll in a minimum of 6 units at SRJC for Fall 2024**
Complete an SRJC Orientation
Have an SRJC education plan developed with an academic counselor
PRIMARY APPLICATION PERIOD
Apply from December - April 2nd
SECONDARY APPLICATION PERIOD
Applications are still being accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until September 2
Students can submit their FAFSA/CADAA through September 2 for consideration of awards for the academic year, depending on available funding.
* Students who qualify for the Doyle Trustee award (2.0 – 2.749 HS GPA) will be required to submit a supplementary essay to support their application. Identified students will be contacted by the Scholarship Office to submit this additional information.
** Students enrolled in 12+ units will receive a full Doyle award amount. Award will be pro-rated for students enrolled in 6-11.5 units. Students enrolled in 15+ units will receive an additional $250.
