What are the requirements to apply?
Admissions offices use 3 factors to determine eligibility. Find out what they are here.
What is going on with SAT and ACT testing?
The California State University understands the challenges that students are facing in their current high school courses due to COVID-19. In response, the CSU has temporarily suspended the SAT or ACT test requirements only for students applying for admission in fall 2022 as freshman. This means that SAT and ACT scores will not be used for determining who gets admitted into the CSU.
The California State University (CSU) no longer uses ACT or SAT examinations in determining admission eligibility for all CSU campuses. If accepted to a CSU campus, ACT or SAT test scores can be used as one of the measures to place students in the proper mathematics and written communication courses.
Do I need to write an essay and get letters of recommendation?
Good news! CSU's do NOT require an essay or letters of rec. However, it is important to understand that certain programs and majors may require such things as part of a supplemental application. Be sure that when you select your major, you check to see if there are additional requirements.
How much does it cost to attend a CSU?
