I will have an in class schedule with daily schedules posted.
I will take a photo of this schedule and post it to Google Classroom for those who miss class/need to know what was done.
I expect all students to be in my Google Classroom: when I am absent from class, I will use that platform to communicate plans.
Most, if not all class work, will be completed in class. I do not usually assign homework aside from permission slip style assignments.
I hope to foster a relationship and understanding with all students so that if a student needs additional support they feel comfortable coming to me for requests and suggestions of aid.
Unit 1: Introduction- What tools will we be using in the course? How are they used? Who is in our class and what is everyone like? Is everyone in the Google Classroom? Let's get started by making sure we're all on the same page!
Unit 2: Time Management & Inquiry Based Learning- What is this Inquiry Based Learning going to be like? What are some time management skills that will be used and developed? Let's get everyone ready to do their independent work.
Unit 3: Planning- We'll explore what past plans have looked like, what planning requires, and develop your personalized learning plan together! Project plans must include: collaboration in some way beyond the student, feedback from multiple sources, a timeline for work completion, a list of resources needed and available including informational and physical, and at least one publishable end result.
Unit 4: Learning- The rest of the class is dedicated to learning what you have set forward as your plan! The teacher will be with you to guide and support you, and if changes need to be made help with those transitions, but the rest of the course will be working on your advanced projects! 1 on 1 meetings will be held with students throughout this process.
