About Me

Welcome

Hello! My name is Julie Lefebvre and I am excited to be teaching 7th grade Math and 7th/8th Grade Math with the fabulous students and staff at South Portland Middle School!

I am truly looking forward to my fifteenth year of teaching!

Other Tidbits:

• I grew up in Upstate New York (near Saratoga Springs)

• I now live in South Portland with my husband, Paul, and two children

• My daughter, Laura, graduated high school in June 2020 and and works at a hospital in Indiana and is studying to be a nurse.

• My son, Lucas, graduated from South Portland High School in June 2022 and is a Senior at Colby College

• We have an orange tabby cat named Shawmut and a white and orange cat named Christopher

• We have a Schiller Hound (Swedish Hound) named Lucy

• I love going to Walt Disney World!  And I love snow!

Education

I completed the University of Southern Maine's Extended Teacher Education Program in May 2011 and earned my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning in May 2014.  Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a Software Engineer for a small company in Portland. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Math from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
