2019 College and Career Fair

The Springfield R-12 School District will host its annual College and Career Fair on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, from 5:00–7:00 PM at the University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center. In addition to students from the five Springfield public high schools, students from the surrounding Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas area will also be invited. Last year there were approximately 1,000 students and parents in attendance.

The University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center is located at 333 S. John Q Hammons Parkway in Springfield, Missouri (south of Chestnut Expressway between Kimbrough Avenue and National Avenue). Each exhibit space will include one skirted six foot table and two chairs, for a fee of $125 per space. You may purchase more than one space if you would like additional area for your display. There will be a limit of 10 tables per organization. The fee for spaces is used to pay for the facility, advertising and related costs. The district high school counselors will also host a hospitality room for exhibitors. A light supper will be available beginning at 4:00 PM.

Please note: The Convention Center charges an additional fee for exhibitors who use electricity. The charge is $15.00 for each item using 110 electrical service. This amount is to be paid with your REGISTRATION. The Convention Center assesses a $25.00 fee per table, if electrical service is not requested prior to the event.

Upon receipt of your electronic registration, we will send an invoice for the applicable fees. Payment will be due within two weeks of receipt of the invoice. Institutions responding with their registration form with payment will be assigned exhibit space in the order of receipt. You will receive an email with your table assignments by the last week in September. Payment is required before tables will be assigned.

This year we are happy to announce that we have the ability to accept credit cards as payment. There are instructions on the bottom of your invoice for payment in the form of check or credit card.

We look forward to your participation in our College and Career Fair on October 8, 2019. Please contact the counseling office at (417) 523-1124 or, if you have questions or need additional information.
