Erica Rosenbaum began her career as a kindergarten teacher at York Elementary in 2012. Since then, she has served Springfield Public Schools as a blended learning specialist and now as a learning specialist. Erica’s passion for learning spans early childhood students through adults, and she funnels that passion into powerful support for all learners.
The foundation of all learning is relationship, and Erica’s knack for connecting with others is at the core of her approach. Amanda Desa, principal at Williams Elementary, says, “She invests in relationships with teachers which creates more opportunities for discussion and growth. As a first year principal, I greatly appreciate her leadership and support at the building level.”
Whether presenting, coaching, or collaborating, Erica honors the needs of those she serves. According to Lauren Wilson, who teaches 3rd grade at Williams, “I appreciate Erica’s willingness to seek to understand my needs as an adult learner, rather than listening to respond. In our team meetings, Erica provides us with opportunities to have intentional and reflective conversations centered around academics and student learning outcomes.” Kimberly Yeary, principal of Pleasant View K-8, adds, “If I need anything, all I have to do is ask, and she has been on top of it. I really appreciate her work to help others around her learn and grow.”
