Beginning Percussion

Beginning percussion students (generally Grade 5) will need a percussion kit (pictured left). It contains a bell set, practice pad, mallets, drum sticks and a stand. This entire set (in it's bag) should come to each 5th Grade Perucussion class.

Beginning Percussion students will also need a Sound Innovations for Concert Band, Book 1-Combined Percussion, pictured right.

Grade 6, 7, & 8 Percussion

In grades 6, 7, and 8 we continue to diversify the number of instruments each student will play. Most of the time in class, we will be using the school-owned percussion instruments.

Grade 6, 7, and 8 Percussionists should retain their beginner bell kits for home practice.

In class, students are expected to have their band binder, pencil, and a set of quality drum sticks.
