Smartmusic – The school district has purchased a license so that students will be able to use Smartmusic at no cost. A paid service that provides a large library of music and practice tools, particularly for developing players.
OpenStudio – both a paid service and a free resource on youtube, OpenStudio offers a wide range of informational videos, guided practice sessions, and music resources for all types of musicians. They also offer a number of wonderful podcasts on practice methods and improving musicianship.
Soundtrap – An online music Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that allows students to produce music alone and collaboratively with a range of tools and resources.
RhythmMasters.com – An excellent site that offers rhythm exercises and learning resources to improve your rhythmic facility.
Teoria.com – A free online Ear Training resource that provides a range of customizable exercises
Tonedear.com – Another free online Ear Training resources that provides a number of customizable exercises – also available in an app.
Musescore – A powerful free music notation software that allows users to write music with the same tools offered by its expensive competitors.
IMSLP.org – A resource for finding music available in the public domain - This is an especially great resource for orchestral music
