Concert Bands

Thurston offers two concert bands, our auditioned Wind Ensemble that is geared towards more experienced musicians, and our Concert Band that is geared towards developing musicians. Students in the concert bands will learn and improve their musicianship, facility on their instrument, knowledge of music theory and history, ear training, and practice techniques, among other things. Students should expect to perform in chamber ensembles and basketball band, as well as being members of the band.
