SAT

Who?

College-bound juniors and seniors interested in certain four-year colleges and universities may want to take the SAT in addition to the ACT.

What?

The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.


When?

The SAT is given seven times a year: August, October, November, December, March, May, and June.

Where?

The SAT is given at schools nationwide. Students may register to take the test at any testing site. MSU is a nearby testing center.


Why?

The SAT test is accepted at many four-year colleges and universities, and is required by some. Please check specific college websites for admission requirements.
