Students at Spokane High School must obtain a minimum of 26 credits to graduate. There are a few options available for a student who has failed a course that is part of the graduation requirements at SHS. Credit Recovery allows students who have failed courses throughout high school to address work and grade deficiencies, with the goal of achieving a passing grade and earning credit for the course.
The GPA earned the semester/year the class was failed will not change, and will still be represented on the transcript.
Launch Credit Recovery offers a variety of online courses for credit recovery.
Prior to enrolling in a Launch Credit Recovery course, students/parents must submit the application to the SHS School Counseling Office for approval
The course will be listed on the student’s transcript as Credit Recovery
The grade will either be Pass/Fail and the credit will be applied toward meeting graduation requirements
