But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

We have been working on some very exciting projects in art class! The 3rd - 8th graders learned about "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" which is a woodblock print by Japanese artist, Hokusai. They created their own wave prints by carving into styrofoam, rolling ink on it, and then stamping it into their Bible. They also stamped one onto a piece of paper, which is hanging on the bulletin board in the lobby outside of Mrs. Haller's office.
Sunday, September 15th was International Dot Day in honor of the book, "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. We watched a video of the book in class, and then each student colored 1/4 of a dot. We put them together to create whole "dots" that are also on the bulletin board in the lobby.
Be sure to stop by and see what our amazing artists have created!
