Teams to be dropped off at Harvard University starting at 4pm and Olympia will move athletes luggage into West Campus during opening ceremony and block party
One Coach per team may pick up keys at West Campus multi media room starting at 4pm, while block party and opening ceremony is happening

Blankets and pillows will NOT be provided. Each individual must bring his or her own sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and towels. ALL ITEMS must be in a bag that has a SOMA provided color coded bag tag
Special Olympics Massachusetts has established that all sports training venues, competition venues, housing facilities, ceremonies venues, and Olympic Towns will be alcohol, tobacco, cannabis (of any form), non-controlled substances, and vaping free. Special Olympics Massachusetts coaches, chaperones, volunteers, family members, and athletes must agree to abstain from the consumption and use of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, cannabis (of any form), non-controlled substances, and vaping during the entire course of all Special Olympics Massachusetts events, training practices, and activities.
No concealed weapons or firearms are allowed at any Special Olympics Massachusetts event!
Any coach, chaperone, volunteer, family member, or athlete in violation of this policy will face disciplinary action from Special Olympics Massachusetts, which could result in the violating individual(s) being sent home and suspended from future participation with Special Olympics Massachusetts.
Special Olympics Massachusetts will make every effort to get housing assignments out to programs as early as possible. Please note that we are assigning over 2,000 people and it takes time to make sure everyone who requests a bed is assigned one.
Housing requests are due to Special Olympics Massachusetts on Wednesday, May 21st at 5:00 pm. It takes one week to process and assign all the requests, which are then due at Boston University by Wednesday, May 29th. Housing assignments will be available at the same time they are delivered to Boston University.
Special Olympics Massachusetts must follow Boston University’s dorm rules, regulations and floor layouts. Special Olympics Massachusetts has no control on what sex’s bathroom is on what floor, how keys are to be checked in and out and to how many bags a person can carry on an escalator. We work with BU to make things easier on our participants, but we are guests at BU and have to follow university guidelines and rules.
All Athletes should arrive at Harvard Athletic Complex between starting at 4pm on Friday June 6th
Olympia Moving and Storage will collect all bags from athletes as they arrive and will transport them to Warren Towers into rooms during Dinner and Opening Ceremonies
One coach per team may go to Warren Towers during this time to collect keys and check in on luggage arrival
Coaches will be required to fill out & sign a keys form that verifies key room number & total # of keys received at check in.
There will be $100 fee for each lost key.
Two Bags per Athlete
Bag 1 – Rolling bag, suitcase or duffle bag
Bag 2 – Backpack or Carry-on type bag
All bags are subject to random checks
Housing checkout is no later than 10 am on Sunday, June 9th
Coaches MUST complete and sign key form when returning keys with designated Residence Hall staff to avoid discrepancies with missing keys.
Lost key will result in a $125 charge
Olympia Moving will be onsite at BU Sunday morning to assist in the move out process. They will then transfer all luggage to a satellite parking lot at 114 Western Ave, Boston, MA 02134, by 12pm in their moving trucks & store for the day until you are ready to check it out and head home.
Boston University Personnel will staff Residence Halls throughout the weekend.
Access to Residence Halls will be restricted to those with appropriate identification badges
Residence Halls will be secured by 12:00 am.
