Important: Before you retrieve the SD card or change the settings, turn the camera off by pushing the power switch to the OFF position.
Settings
Sensitivity
This sets how sensitive the camera is to a difference in temperature between moving objects and the environment in its field of view. Typically it is best to set this to Low if the camera is in an environment colder than 40 °F, Normal for between 40 °F and 80 °F, and High for temperatures higher than 80 °F
Please adjust this setting based to current temperature in your location or where you'll be deploying/testing the camera.
Timelapse Interval
This is the setting that makes the camera trigger automatically every time that the Timelapse interval elapses. So if this is set for 1 hour, then the camera will take a photo/video every hour regardless of motion.
If you do need to use Timelapse, we recommend setting it on hourly based intervals. Otherwise, make sure to leave this setting to OFF.
Camera Mode: Photo, Video, Photo+Video
In Photo or Video modes, the camera will take/send the photo(s)/video*.
In Photo+Video mode, it will take a photo and start recording a video* two seconds after it takes the photo. The camera will send the photo but it will not send the video unless you request it using the app or website.
*Video transmission is only available when used with the Premium Service for models that are capable of sending videos.
Start-Stop
This sets a time period when the camera is allowed to actively take pictures. When either one of these is set, the camera will ignore the normal Trigger and Timelapse interval settings and use the interval settings under each Start-Stop instead.
Please know, once you set either a Start or Stop time, the camera will only work within that time set. If you want the camera to work 24/7, then set these settings to OFF.
Daily Limit/Max Photo per day
This sets the maximum number of photos the camera is allowed to send each day. For example, if you set it to 25, then the camera will send up to 25 photos, then any photos taken after that will not be sent although they will be saved to the SD card.
Scheduled Event
It is recommended that you set several scheduled events, either status reports or photos. There are nine available events for you to set, plus Scheduled Event [01], the default daily status report that you can set the time for. You will probably want to use most or all available events at least for status reports throughout the day so that you don’t have to wait too long to get requested HD photos or video downloads (for those models that are capable of transmitting video).
