Activate Cell Service
Cellular service is required if you want to have photos delivered to your mobile device and/or email, regardless of whether you use Premium or Auto service for photo delivery. Cellular service enables the camera to send photos, status reports, and videos. (Premium service required for video transmission.)
You may purchase cellular service either from Spartan Camera (AT&T and Verizon models) or from your phone carrier (by adding it to your existing cell phone plan). Data service through Spartan Camera includes premium service at no additional charge.
Before you begin, locate your camera’s IMEI number, which is printed on a sticker inside the camera.
Spartan Camera
Data service from Spartan Camera includes Premium service (app, portal).
1. Log in to your account at https://my.spartancamera.com/. If you don’t have an account, you must register and then you’ll be able to log in.
2. In your account, go to SHOP > DATA SERVICE, enter your camera’s IMEI, and choose a data plan.
Your Cellular Carrier
You can add the camera to your cell phone plan by contacting your carrier’s customer service department or going to a carrier store.
If you want to use Premium service (app, portal) for your camera, you may have to purchase premium service based on where you activated cell service.
Premium service is included at no extra charge with Spartan Camera data plans.
When using carrier data plans from AT&T, Verizon, or US Cellular or any other cellular carriers, additional months of Premium service cost $3-4/month, depending on how many credits (months) you buy at a time and can be purchased through Spartan.
When using a carrier data plan from Cellcom, the Premium service cost of $4 is conveniently billed on your Cellcom monthly bill or as part of your Advance Pay replenishment*.
If you camera was previously activated through Bluegrass, you can reactivate your device either through Verizon or your spartancamera.com account.
