Volunteering in Williamson County

Sacred Heart Community Clinic

Our non-profit clinic was given a box-truck full of new Christmas decor from a Michael's store that had ordered too much last year. We want to have a sell to raise money for the clinic, but due to COVID our original idea of a "Christmas in July" sidewalk sale had to be canceled. We would love to have a student(s) help me come up with a COVID-safe plan (virtual?) for selling these items and then implement that plan. That would include sorting through the items in the storage warehouse, catalog and photograph them, come up with a marketing plan (design fliers, email campaign, online posts, etc), and help oversee the sale to completion.

Simple Sparrow Farm

Does a Care Farm Make Education Safe, Meaningful, Functional, and Fun in a Pandemic?

Student will determine the effectiveness of the Simple Sparrow Care Farm model as it pertains to an educational partnership between SSCF and Community Montessori School in Georgetown. During the pandemic, educational environments are forced to change. We want to evaluate if care farm outdoor learning experiences make education safe, meaningful, functional, and fun.
