2022-23 Off-Campus CEL Associate Positions
1. Georgetown Project
Description: Develop an understanding of the Developmental Assets framework of positive youth development and assist in implementing strategies at work site
● Assist in marketing and promoting neighborhood, community, and school-based initiatives at Partnership work sites, such as developing tutoring and parenting flyers,
organizing meetings, planning community wide events such as youth service days, youth summits, and drug-free prevention initiatives.
● Recruit volunteers from the Southwestern community to assist in community or work site activities.
● Document progress through monthly reports and anecdotal data such as personal stories and journey mapping.
● Attend meetings relating to the Georgetown Project network including: The Georgetown Project Collaborative, Board, and Afterschool Alliance, etc.
Schedule: Monday-Friday.

Description: The CELSA will promote the mission of the Boys & Girls Club through the facilitation of the Boys & Girls Club curriculum, and may also include some administrative support.
Some marketing and promoting neighborhood, community, and school-based initiatives at CELSA work sites.
Recruit volunteers from the Southwestern community to assist in community or work site activities.

Description: The Student Associate will work under the supervision of the Development & Marketing Director on development projects. These projects could include: maintaining a donor database, pulling donor reports, coordinating outreach events, and event support.

4. Getsemani Community Center Position
Description: Student Associates will work under the supervision of the Director of Transformative Missions Ministry on agreed upon projects that include learning goals. An evaluative report written by the student workers will be the culminating activity for the specified time period. Student Associates will use appreciative inquiry and community asset mapping tools to create initiatives in Southeast Georgetown for the Getsemani Center. In addition, Associates will support the Getsemani Program Coordinator with activities for residents in the neighborhood, including youth, adults, and seniors.
