The Ultimaker 3 Extended is a fused deposition modelling (FDM) dual-extrusion 3D printer. The print head has an auto-nozzle lifting system and swappable print cores which makes it much easier to handle changes in nozzle sizes and type of print cores.
The types of materials that can be printed are: Nylon, PLA, ABS, CPE, CPE+, PC, TPU 95A, PP, PVA, and Breakaway. Some of these materials are available in different colors, transition colors and glow-in-the-dark.
The sizes of nozzles supported by the printer are: 0.25 mm, 0.40 mm, and 0.80 mm - SU's printer has 0.40mm nozzles and uses 2.85/3.00mm filament.
