Expectations for Southwestern University EdTech Students:
The students are expected to spend at least 4 hours and at least 3 visits working with you. The students should complete their visits and work by Friday, November 15, 2024. The specific tasks that they will help you with will vary depending on your needs, content area, and grade level. The purpose is for the students to observe and engage in the application of technology in the classroom. You are required to complete the placement log including a reflection following each visit.
Observe & Interview (required with a paper and presentation):
observe you teach a lesson or lessons with technology
interview you about your use of educational technology
a minimum of five one-hour visits to your classroom or school. They are expected to go at least five times for at least one hour each visit.
Engage in the application of technology in/for your classroom which may include:
helping during an instructional time where technology is being used,
Finding digital resources for your class,
helping a student who is struggling with the use of technology,
helping with technology-based administrative chores,
converting paper handouts to a digital format for your use etc.
