Nurse Heather has been a registered nurse for 22 years. She brings a myriad of experience to Menchaca from her varied work experiences, as well as her travels as a military spouse. Nurse Heather holds a Bachelor degree in Nursing and is a Nationally Certified School Nurse. She earned her Master of Public Health in 2024 and is certified in public health.

Nurse Heather is married and has 2 children and 4 cats. She is a big fan of snails, cycling, camping with her family, gardening, and reading.

Our students (and staff) love stopping by and seeing our friendly fish who swim over to say Hi. We have platys, corydora catfish, algae eaters, and a snail named Monte who help soothe anxieties and distract our students from what ails them.
