Emergency drills are held at least once each month, weather permitting. This procedure helps to protect the student body should a fire or other emergency occur. The exit to be used is posted in each room. Students leave the building in a double file and walk with their teachers to a safe distance from the building. IT IS REQUIRED that the following rules be absolutely obeyed by every student during drills. All participants must wear a mask during drills.
Stop work when warning bell rings.
Follow the teacher's directions for lining up at the door.
Move quickly from the room and through the halls.
Last person to leave the room will close the door.
Follow the teacher to the exit assigned to that room.
Line up in an orderly fashion outdoors.
Watch your teacher for any directions that may be given.
Quiet will be maintained throughout the drill.
For the safety of the entire school these rules MUST be followed.
Students who fail to cooperate completely in all phases of the emergency drill will be sent to the office for disciplinary action.
