Registration Deadlines / ENTRY FEES

$175 per band if you register on or before January 16, 2026.
$190 per band if you register after January 16 but on or before January 31, 2026.

Payment may be sent after the registration date, as long as the registration form is completed.

Registration PRoCESS

Complete the online registration form. (Complete a separate form for each band that you are registering).

You should receive an automated email confirmation of your registration. If you do not, please contact the SEIBA Webmaster.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Middle School / Junior High

Returning for 2026, we will be reinstating the competitive option for the JH Jazz Band classes. Scheduling and logistics will remain the same as last year. You will still receive the clinic portion of your hour time slot either way! Picking competitive just puts your ensemble into the pool eligible to get a trophy. Fees will be the same for either option. Each MS/JH band will be assigned to a single room for their warm-up, performance, and clinic. Bands will still receive copies of their ballots, but adjudicators will move between rooms. Clinicians will stay in place and work with each band after their performance. These changes should make the event significantly easier for MS/JH participants!

Please note that directors will still need to bring copies of the Repertoire and Soloists Forms (see below) on the day of the festival.

High School

Each band will receive written and recorded comments from 3 adjudicators. Immediately following their performance, each band will have a 5-10 minute workshop with one of the judges.

Bands have the option of entering for “Competition” or “Comments Only.” Awards are given to the top three bands in each class. The top two bands in each High School class automatically qualify for the Iowa Jazz Championships.

Directors will need to bring copies of the Repertoire and Soloist Forms (see below) on the day of the festival.
