The theme for 2024 is Sustainability: Future-ready Singapore. 

Sustainability means "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". Sustainability has become a key driver for policies, economies, and societies. In HSS Alive, we will explore Singapore's readiness for the future by examining its internal and external challenges, encompassing issues like economic, social, and environmental sustainability, alongside the imperative for Singapore to remain relevant and competitive in a swiftly evolving world.

Our in-house break-out sessions seek to explore the idea of sustainability in leading up to a future-ready Singapore, covering the following issues:

• Food security &  food culture

• Aging population

• Globalisation of culture
